Orchard Keeper
Orchard Keeper is a slow, cozy simulation about bringing a rundown mountain orchard back to life. You prune trees, graft new varieties, deal with weather, and slowly figure out which fruit thrives on your particular patch of hillside. There's no combat, no timer, just you and the seasons.
The grafting system is deeper than I expected. You can crossbreed varieties to get fruit with different traits, and experimenting to find a hardy, sweet apple for a cold slope became a quietly obsessive hobby. The game tracks each tree you plant, which makes the orchard feel genuinely yours.
If you want fast rewards this will frustrate you, because everything grows on real-ish timescales. But as a thing to check on once a day with a cup of coffee, it's wonderful.
What we liked
- Surprisingly deep fruit grafting
- No timers or pressure, pure calm
- Each tree feels personally yours
