About

Ridgevale Play started as a group chat where three of us kept swapping screenshots of weird little mobile games nobody else seemed to notice. At some point the chat got too big, so we turned it into a site. That's the whole origin story, no venture money, no grand plan.

We focus on indie titles because the big studios already have enough people shouting about them. A one-person team in a spare bedroom rarely does, and those are often the games that stick with us longest. We play across everything: puzzles, racers, role-playing, oddball simulators.

Picking what we cover is simple. Someone on the team plays a game for at least a few hours, and if it's interesting enough to talk about, we write it up. We don't chase release calendars or hype. A game can be two years old and still land here if it's good.

Everything you read is written by a human who sat with the game, got annoyed by it, got charmed by it, and formed an actual opinion. We'd rather be wrong and honest than safe and bland.
